Evening Ski Touring is just amazing peaceful 🙌🏼!
Im very passiante ABOUT it. It has healing effekts on me 😌. Hiking up in the darkness with skins under your skis. You see the powder snow glittering in eyesight . You hear “the snow sound” while hiking up. If you’re lucky you can see the Moon in the sky - in different versions 🌕 🌙🌝. Maybe also 🌟& a lot of snow covered trees 🌲 . And when you’re up where you Want to be, you’ll have a little break with a hot drink and you have a moment to watch this beautiful world. After it’s time to ski Down … and you get that great feeling again, but in another way. You have speed, maybe the adrenaline starts to pump… BUT…
Within this - You feel the Universe on another level . It’s hard to describe. The feeling is different from each person. It’s not for everybody, but people who love this kind of adventure in the dark with natural light, it’s very grandiose in a positive way . I love it 😍 . ⬇️
If the snow & weather conditions are appropriate, I will have some days, where I offer evening touring this winter season for those interested.

❄️ Let‘s make some nice art turns very soon in the beautiful mountains 🙌🏼I can feel the looking forward winter ski /snowboard vibes in a lot of people on my way at the moment. Whatever if they are working or living in the mountains - or if it’s the people, who goes on ski holiday during the winter. The Looking Forward Feeling & excitement. Many are also watching the weather forecast views & webcam for the current snow destination they belong to. Because it’s ❄️ time many places in the Alps at the moment.
TMR I will look as well, but the first thing in the morning is to LOOK out from my window in my bedroom in my own house in the mountains - with @powdertom_freerideschule ♥️. The ski season at the Arlberg starts the 1 of December 2023🙌🏼It’s getting closer and closer! I feel far away from beautiful snow landscapes right now. For me it’s still too early to wish for snow. In 1 month it’s different. But I’m really keen on season start & everything what goes with it⛷☺️🙌🏼❄️

People sometimes ask me how the snow is start & end Of april in Tirol, Austria ? !🇦🇹⬇️

Depends of course on future weather & where you are skiing in Tirol. Which altitude. North or South faced hills and other stuff!… But if I compare with the passed years: ⬇️
At the Arlberg region we have had enough snow to ski on the slopes the whole April month - What I remember !

If you start skiing early and finish around lunch , then I would say skiing in april is a great month to go skiing ⛷❄️🙌🏼The lifts normally close end Of april, but april /start May month is also a great month for backcountry skiing - touring & off piste skiing. Then you don’t need necessarily any lifts to get up high👌

📸📹: These pictures /videos are from EastTirol / border south Tirol end April start may 2023. We had quite good ski touring conditions. No snow on the south facing places in 1400 m, but up higer life with snow was good ! As always it’s a pleasure. Cold mornings, hot afternoons 🙌🏼

😅What I was worried about the most was not if any avalanches should come, but more if a 🐻 would wake up from winter sleep and say hello to me on the Top. 😅Who knows🤔 .

There is always something special about reaching the Summit of a mountain . It’s hard to describe the feeling, but it’s good & rewarding. Also sometimes depending on which mountain you visit, some mountains accociate with stories, friends or family connection more than others - or other personal things in life 🙌🏼 ⬇️

This mountain, Seespitze, is situated in @powdertom_freerideschule’s home valley. 3021 m. I have been there some times now. With & without ⛷! It was my first mountain over 3000 m , I suppose 🤔🤙 . First time Tom brought me there was maybe over 10 years back. I tell you, I was struggling & not so motivated, fast or stable walking as I am now. It’s much easier and convenient to walk up mountains now. But it was also a brain and learning process for me .
But good I met Tom. Otherwise I think I did not get the passion Of mountain trips in summertime 😌
@powdertom_freerideschule - Thanks for showing me that the mountains can also something special in summer time, when they are naked - but I still like them most beautiful covered with ❄️😀😎🏔

Change Of Mind: I never really liked this cliché phrase: “I love you to the moon and back”… But I read/ heard it so often now, when people post it, that I start thinking of this sentence in my own head naturally 😅😌
This unconditional love ❤️ … This feeling… ♥️It’s wonderful, but can also be hard if you’re away from your children and afraid of something happens to them 🙏🏻♥️

Can you agree as a parent ? Maybe this feeling changes over the years. I hope not, but we will see 🙌🏼

I must say… I'm starting to look forward to winter. Also to meet familar faces; my winter sports colleagues, friends, clients and acquaintances again ♥️❄️⛷🙌🏼

SKI INSTRUCTOR & OFF PISTE GUIDE FOREVER ?

Nothing lasts forever, but I'll keep going as long as it's fun for me and my body can do it.

At the Arlberg region there are few older instructors, +80, left. They also continue their ski instructor job. Good examples for the younger generations 🙌🏼

….As you get older, defects occur more or less. Or injuries. Happens at any age . That’s reality. And must be really hard for those, who never can do for example skiing again 🙏🏻

As long as you are able to do it and enjoy it & no joints in the body hurts… Then Continue …

I hope I’ll be same fit in 50 years as my ski instructor college I’m standing together with on this picture 😅🙏🏻. I’ll might not be teaching professionally, but Will be skiing in private contexts. Hopefully I Can ski for lifetime. That’s almost forever for me 😌🙏🏻♥️ But maybe my mindset changes in 20 years. Who knows ? ⬇️

⬇️Something to tell⬇️
As a child I grew up in this little town, Harboøre, situated in between the North Sea & Limfjord. I had a good childhood. A good place for children to grow up 🙏🏻🥰
As a teenager & young adult I just wanted to get far away from this part of Denmark. I also did - with studying, living and working around the world. I also find it good that I did that. It’s good to see the world before you settle Down - & different ways Of Living, before you find out how you Want your own life to be like - if possible.😌

But luckily me. Maybe because I live in Austria half Of the year. But, Now , many years after, I have as an adult, finally discovered “the gold” of my child hood area.
The last couple of years I have found out I really like the west coast of Denmark a lot. People are very friendly, down to earth , just a bit but not much hanky panky 😅& nature is beautiful. I could text more… but I stop now. So sometimes it’s good to have a break from something / someone to find it’s beauty in it.

And ABOUT kitesurfing … Sort Of the same thing: I have been around a lot of #kitesurfdestinations in the world, but Haarum Is one of my favourite kite spots in the world . I did not know that for 10 years ago 🙌🏼♥️🥰

Gone Offline for a period. You should try it once in s while 🤙🙏🏻👍🤪😚😉, but now I’m a bit motivated to post again 💡

Life with 2 kids are wonderful, busy, great & demanding as well. I’m so thankful 🙏🏻 But to the main thing: Always action. (People with kids know What I’m talking about). Not much time left over for your self 😌
At the moment it’s like If one Of my kids get ill from kindergarten, I sometimes adapt the ilness also. It happened often this summer. Last week I was not feeling the best. Today it’s getting better. #flu So I need to #relaxwhenyoucan & #takecareofyourself . We all have to do that now and then 🙌🏼 So this monday it’s like a New motivated start for me in Many stuff 💪🏻.
